The Big Match

(match - 9 - Sat 23/11/13)

Arsenal[1st]  vs  Carlisle[10th]

This should be a good battle as top of the table Arsenal are flying even though they suffered defeat to Charlton last game, Carlisle will be no pushovers as they are on a 6 game winning streak across all competitions, Carlisle seem to be working the 5-4-1 quite well although it is not yielding the greatest amount of goals, Carlisle are missing Jovetic & Asamoah so are a bit depleted they will have to pay particular attention to Ronaldo who has scored 5 goals, no surprise that Ronaldo has no assists though but Villa has been in top form both in scoring goals which he has 3 and on productivity as he has aided a massive 8 assists. With the predicted 4-2-3-1 v 5-4-1 I expect this to be tight as the formations sort of cancel each other out.

Prediction: 1-1

Wigan [4th]  vs  Huddersfield[6th]

This is another good game with Wigan who just missed out on the play-offs last season taking on Huddersfield who were relegated from the Premier, the teams have never met before so today is a day to write the history books, both teams are in need of a win after losing the last two, injuries and suspensions may play a part in who takes this as Wigan are missing Nolito & Alderweireld and Huddersfield missing the quartet of Totti, Cuadrado, Grosskreutz & Janmaat, this looks like it will be a 4-3-3 match up so I would expect a few goals, slight preference for a home win.

Prediction: 3-2

Wolves [3rd] vs Brighton [1st]

This is a clash of 3rd vs 1st. Wolves have been very exciting to watch this season with goals goals and more goals but they have been going both ways. They are the top scorers with 27 goals a staggering 8 more than the next team but shockingly have the worst defence in the league shipping 22 goals. Stephan El Shaarawy has been key to their success but against a strict Brighton defence they could struggle.

Brighton have made a very good start and sit top. Smut has made Brighton a tough side to score past with 6 goals conceded best in the league with some tactical changes. Despite being top have problems putting the ball in the net as they are the 4th worst scorers in the league which can cause them problems. I think they will win here due to the Smut factor through and I think Alfred can play a key role here.

Prediction:  1 - 2

Hull [2nd] vs Leyton orient [4th]

Hull are amazing scorers with 26 goals with Mr Olson making them boring and dull to very pleasing on the eye. And Diamanti is showing why he doesn't deserve to be at that level.

Leyton Orient have also made a good steady start but have had a few things go there way such as ref decisions and of course the goal that never was. On paper they are average and don't have too much about them. Hull should win here

Prediction: 3 - 1
