MILLWALL INJURY LIST GROWS

MILLWALL had to bounce back after losing at Hillsborough in our previous match.

This was made more difficult without top scorer - BARRIOS -  out injured until December 3rd. and new signing - MYKHALYK -  injured until December 1st, after playing only one match.

This was unfortunate and  we were slipping down from 2nd spot so this match was a MUST WIN.

On top of that, we had to remove our 2 best defenders -  MAICON & GRANQVIST - due to them being NMF enough to start. This put huge pressure on our defence and we haven't started the game yet.

MILLWALL 3 COLCHESTER 1

We started the match with ESTIGARRIBIA  - on loan from wolves - at Left Back. He played well but took a knock putting him on the injury list. 

The match was evenly balanced but on the 44th minute  Colchester were reduced to 10-men.

After the break, Millwall took advantage and  after 46 minutes, ELIAS scored direct from a free-kick. 

Colchester replied and their 10-men equalised just sixty seconds later. Millwall  took the lead when ELIAS scored his second and Millwall's second on 67 mins.

A late goal after 86 mins gave ELIAS his hat-trick and Millwall a 2 goal lead which was to be the final score. (3-1)

MAN OF THE MATCH:  THIERRY HENRY (Millwall)

• On loan ESTIGARRIBIA was sent back to his club as Millwall get an emergency replacement - GHOULAM - on loan from Liverpool (Dan Malone)
• BARRIOS has missed 3 matches and will miss SEVEN more before returning
