The Big Match

(Match -29 - SAT 1st FEB 2014)

By SIRMARKHUGHES (Dan Malone)

Fulham [5th] v Tottenham [8th]

Fulham have been very inconsistent with 3 wins and 3 defeats in last 6 league games, who will turn up today?
Tottenham finally won a league game after 11 games without a win, they are still only 9 points off the top, a sign of a revival?

Benatia will be missing for Fulham and injured Felliani will be missing for Spurs but rumour has it that he is off in a swap deal with Cabaye anyway.

With a win each and two draws in the last 4 games between the sides this is a tough one to call.

Synopsis & Prediction : With Spurs only registering one win [against relegation threatened Exeter] in the last dozen league games I am not convinced they have turned that corner yet, I expect Fulham to win this by a couple with Hulk the main threat.

Prediction 3-1

----------------------------------------------------

Bolton [14th] v Carlisle [4th]

Bolton form : WWWDLD
Carlisle Form : WWDWDW

Bolton have done well under Neil's guidance and have been slowly edging themselves away from the drop-zone, the one defeat in last six games has helped with that.

Carlisle are the form team of the division and I don't think anybody would relish playing them at the minute, they are just 5 points off the top of the table so will be gunning for the three points today to keep them in the hunt for the title with just 10 games to go.

Bolton are missing midfield man Giovinco which may be a problem as he has weighed in with eight goals and five assists.

Synopsis and Prediction:

Both teams will no doubt line-up in their favoured 5-4-1 formations which will probably see this being a tight game, the form is with Carlisle but I think they will have to settle with a point here.

Prediction 1-1
