As Predicted by TSM, Portsmouth started 4-3-3 wingers and BURY started with 5-4-1

Portsmouth gave away a free-kick on 39 mins, HONDA bends a low shot around the wall which is just inside the post, 'keeper had no chance and BURY were 2 up. Two minutes later BURY made it safe when they were awarded another free-kick in a promising position. HONDA whipped it into the danger area and OCZIPKA shoots, the 'keeper got a hand to it but couldn't keep it out and BURY go into the break 3-0 up.
After the interval Portsmouth tried to get back into it and on 70 mins they were awarded a free-kick. LAMELA crosses to the far post and GOMIS heads it powerfully to pull one back, but time was not on their side and BURY took the points.
