Match of the Day: Round 13

Every week I will be looking at the best matches of the week ( minimum one report a week) and provide a short explanation as to why the chosen matches were given the accolade

Match of the Day: Oldham 4 Brentford 3
A 7 goal thriller which saw the Lactics jump to 2nd place in Division 4. With the close nature of the top six with only 3 points separating 6th to 11th, slipping up wasn’t an option for either club however Oldham grabbed four goals thanks to a brace from Giaccherini and goals to Mceachran and Seleznyov and it was enough to hold off the Bee’s sting.

MOTM: Josh Mceachran
His standout performance so far in his very short season, since his arrival for $225k the young English starlet has had limited game time for his club of 7 seasons however his dominate left flank performance may suggest more involvement in the near future.

Surprise result: Aldershot 0 Dagenham 2
Dagenham sprung another surprise increasing their winning streak to 6 matches and helped them jump into the play-off positions. The Daggers who are filled with football veterans showed their experience and composure, goals to Luke Young and Zoltan Gera completed the surprise result.
MOTM: Luke Young
The experience English defender showed his offensive and defensive value by defending his non preferred position of left back, providing a danger overlapping as well as protective solidarity.
