THE SATURDAY MATCH - ANALYSIS

Welcome to the first Saturday Match ANALYSIS of the season

OLDHAM 2 SWINDON 6

As Predicted by TSM both teams started with 3-5-2 formations. However, it was the away side - Swindon - who started the match on fire. RODRIGUEZ scored after only 9 mins which put Oldham under more pressure in front of the home fans. They did, however, have a couple of good chances to level but the Swindon 'keeper CURCI saved well.

RUDNEVS made it 2-0 to Swindon on 24mins and SIO made it 3-0 after 26mins.

TSM had mentioned in the match preview that CURCI & SIO were players to watch.

Oldham pulled one back when MORALEZ scored on 37 mins but WASS made it 4-1 at the interval when he scored on 44mins.

The Oldam manager made a triple substitution at half-time, OFF went Samedov, Jones & Montovani and ON came Denis, N'Guemo and Hibbert.

The subs made little impact and RUDNEVS scored twice on 65 & 74 mins to put Swindon 6-1 up.

  • RUDNEVS - HAT-TRICK

To their credit, Oldham battled back and got a consolation reward when SELEZNYOV scored after 77 mins.

Man of the Match - SIO (Swindon)

POSS:  42%/58%
SHOTS: 22/26

This result kept SWINDON on top of the league and Oldham dropped from 2nd to 7th spot in the Table.
