Harman: Confidence Is Growing Everyday

Harman: Confidence Is Growing Everyday

AFC Bournemouth recorded their third win on the bounce last night with Harman insisting, there is still a lot more to come from his side. It has been a difficult season for The Cherries, who have struggled for any consistency and have found themselves in the bottom 3 throughout the campaign, however there fortunes have dramatically improved recently, unbeaten in the last 4 games and scoring 11 goals in the last 3 games.

The south coast side now find themselves just 2 points from safety with a large portion of the season still to be played and manager Josh Harman is confident his side have what it takes to stay in Division 3.

Im not going to lie, its been a bitterly disappointing season, things just haven't gone our way and there has even been times where i have considered whether i am the right person for this job but that is natural when your down at the bottom. I took over this club in Division 4 and i have transformed the whole squad, we have gained promotion, won the English cup and have a very good first team with an exciting youth project, this is my challenge and i intend to one day be playing at the very top.

There is a confidence in the group again, it showed last night as it has done in the last few weeks, we are scoring goals for fun and have given ourselves every opportunity of staying up. Were still in the drop zone, so there is a lot of work still to be done but if we keep that with that confidence, i have little doubt we will still be here next season.

Wolves no match for The Cherries

Harman: There is a long way to go

After an incredibly poor start to the season, Bournemouth sat bottom of Division 3 with just 4 points as they traveled down to Wolverhampton last night. There have been signs of improvment over recent weeks with The Cherries seeming to find a bit of goalscoring form but when they stepped out under the floodlights last night, manager Josh Harman had a anxious smile on his face, as if he knew his team's season was about to burst into action.

Harman's confidence was justified as his side romped to a 5-0 victory to record their first 3 points of the season. The Cherries dominated every stat in what their manager described as a magnificent performance.

We were brilliant from start to finish, every player worked thier socks off and produced some outstanding football. Dzsudzsak and Mirallas were superb on the wings and gave the full backs a torrid evening, i wouldn't be at all surprised to see them both make team of the week as were really do deserve it after that performance. It was an important win for us, a real turning point.

It was a relief, no doubt. The players let out all the frustrations that have been building over recent weeks. It was a pleasure to watch. Its been difficult for us this season, for many reasons really, we made a lot of new signings and they simply took a little time to gel and for me to really know my strongest team but i have seen for a while that things are turning round and they finally did tonight. It's important that we take this form into the next game because regardless of the result, we still sit bottom and that is simply unacceptable for a squad of our quality, we need a run of good results to propel us up that table, that is our only focus now.

Giroud arrives at AFC Bournemouth

Giroud arrives at AFC Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Josh Harman was yesterday busy wrapping up a deal for French forward Oliver Giroud. The deal saw fans favorite Markel Suseata and promising youngster Jonathon Tah leave the club. The club have also confirmed that Swiss international Valon Behrami will also be joining the club this week.

"We were disappointed to lose the players we did obviously but we couldn't pass up the opportunity to sign a player of Oliver's ability. He is world class center forward and will improve the team greatly and hopefully give us that cutting edge in front of goal."

Meanwhile on the pitch, all has not gone according to plan for Harman's side, taking just 1 point from the opening 3 games after losing at home to Rochdale last night.  However Harman is confident his side's form will soon turn around.

"We know we have made a poor start, we cant deny that but we have some great characters in the dressing room who will know what needs to be done to start winning games. We will be working very hard this week to make sure were ready to go and at our best come Wednesday evening."

Harman Looking for Quick Response

Harman Looking for Quick Response

Bournemouth manager Josh Harman has insisted his side must bounce back quickly after suffering an opening day defeat away at Portman Road. The Cherries welcome Reading on Wednesday night in a game where Harman has little doubt they will get a positive result.
"In my opinion Ipswich away is the most difficult fixture in the league, they have a fantastic squad and it was always going to be a difficult game so we will now turn our attentions quickly to Wednesday. Were a different team this season, we have quality all over the pitch and i have little doubt we will picking up our first 3 points of the campaign come Wednesday."

Bournemouth Continue to Improve

Harman: We Are Improving All The Time

AFC Bournemouth manager Josh Harman has applauded the club for continuing to improve ahead of his fifth season in charge. It has been a busy summer for the south coast side who have managed to secure the signings of 5 new players in total. The Cherries Boss insists that his side are good enough to win the title but accepts that it will be a very tough ask considering the quality in Division 3.

"Last season we were short, simple as that. We didn’t have the quality in defense to see out games and often threw points away, however we feel that with the new players coming in, the quality is now there. We have a very tough start away at Ipswich Town who are one of the top sides in the league so we will have to start well if were to get anything from it. There are so many sides in this Division who will be gunning for glory this year but it’s up to me to ensure that we focus on our own game and try to collect as many points as possible."

Martin Demichelis, Oliver Sorg, Sebastian Boenisch, Kevin Mirallas and James Milner all join.

“Hopefully they will be the difference this season, there is quality flowing throughout this squad and we have a very exciting youth project that we hope will see players start to progress into the first team setup.”
