NEW MANAGER AT BARNSLEY

NEW MANAGER AT BARNSLEY

MILLWALL manager - CRAIG - decided to part company with the club to take on the vacant BARNSLEY job.

Craig spent 9 seasons at MILLWALL and  decided that a new fresh challenge was needed .

STATEMENT by CRAIG

"I decided to part company with MILLWALL after 9 seasons and 361 games in charge. I felt that things were getting stale and it was best for myself and for MILLWALL that I departed,
I will always look for Millwall results and hope they can get up to where they belong, however, my loyalties are with Barnsley now. One day after arriving in the Barnsley hot seat, I had a Semi-Final PLAY-OFF match away at Swindon. This was difficult being too soon as I didn't know the players and the likes. Swindon won 1-0 and their keeper was Man of the Match, so maybe on another day, we may have got a result, it wasn't to be this time around though. I will set targets for the new season and hope my players' play to their full potential. I look forward to the challenge ahead which won't be easy with a balance of £1.1m to spend, but we will be there or thereabouts".
