350 - STILL NOT OUT

MILLWALL Manager - Craig - approaches his 350th game in charge.

Saturday's match away at Colchester will be  350 matches since Craig took the job.

MANAGER STATEMENT

"As I approach my 350th match in charge, I look back at my time here as being a roller-coaster ride.
This season started like most of the others. We were 2nd top of the table when our top scorer - BARRIOS - got injured and was out of action for 10 games. Then we got our midfielder/forward out for 9 games (a double blow). We struggled on and managed to stay in 6th spot  when they returned. However, we went on to lose 4 games in a row which was hard to accept as we fell to 12th spot. I decided to gut the team out as we push for a play-off position.  ALMEIDA (88), MAICON (90), SIVOK (88)  GRANQVIST (88) and BIRSA (87) were all sold and in came BERGESSIO (88), CISSE (89), APONO (88), CONCA (88) and agreed deals for IVANOV (87)and TITO )87).

We needed to freshen things as results proved that it wasn't working the way it was. Ivanov and Tito should sign before Saturday and APONO, CONCA,  CISSE  will all play. We hope our 350th match will kick us onto a great wiining run of matches so we can get to the Play-off's. I couldn't sit back and watch us lose any more with matches running out. I feel we have time to turn it around and hopefully Saturday will be the starting point. We are 11th at present which is better than previous seasons when we are usually fighting relegation. We need to go on a run to make sure we are not fighting at the bottom of the table this season, Anyway, I hope my 350th match has a better outcome than our 300th game when we lost".
