Losing the title again hurts so bad , We as a club are working to give the fans that dream to be called the best in England. We have done so well this season we have a great attacking record and a even better defensive record. We will come back and be in around there next season and I know we can win the PL. People never imagined that we could win Europe's big prize now we must prove them wrong and go to win the PL.
When asked about individual players?
I got a lot stick for selling Fulham legend Ochoa to barnsley but Baumann's performances in a rock solid defence has been nothing short of outstanding. Koscielny , Benatia and Evra have been the best 3 defenders in terms of goals and performances in the PL been a special season for them and I hope it continues when they play more together. Nuri sahin and Super Carrick have stepped up this season as I made the target for them to attack the goal more than they did which has showed as they scored more goals in less games than previous seasons we need to get them out more if we are to win more games. Hernandez has brought a fox in the box we have needed for a long time and in his short time has already bagged 10 in 17 so big things are expected. Its not all good news despite the fact his performance on stats means he has had his best season but ive been disapointed with Pedro's goal record and dont feel he contributed enough given his great ability and the teams performance all around him we need more from him next season for sure I will set a double figure goal scoring target for him to achieve.
Where could Fulham improve?
We slipped up to many times against the bottom 6! We lost way to many points weaker teams! We lost a staggering 20 points against these sides which is simply not good enough! We must do better against the sides that sit with 10 men behind the ball when they come to our patch we need that extra dimension which will be worked on over pre season.
Now you have finished with Fulham you must immediately turn your attention to England , with a very good record for England what is expectations for the world cup considering you are a world cup winner?
Yes I must turn my attention to England , I loved my time at Argentina and we had a world cup winning squad there but I always wanted to come back to England this is my home and my passion is to bring my expertise of winning the world cup and we have made a great start with the players believing in my philosphy and they are starting to play exciting and attacking football but more importantly winning football and now we believe we can win the whole tournament instead of making do with just being there.
Last question now but what have you changed personal wise in the England team?
Firstly the debate over Cole or Baines has been settled with Cole being the LB while Baines is my LW and Baines is brilliant in that role giving MOM performances , Goals and consistency we never had in that position. And Theo is now my 1st choice forward alongside rooney as he has a good finish and has that burst of pace that can get him away from defenders and he has been arguably our most inform player. We have also called up the best youngsters in the country in Shaw who is my club player , The ox who has bags of talent playing spurs but he needs premier league experience to force into my England team. I will keep an eye on the talent coming through as we shape England for the now and future.
