Millwall have strengthened their squad for the final push to keep out of the relegation zone.
MILLWALL IN DOUBLE SWOOP
- ROMAN EREMENKO joined MILLWALL from LIVERPOOL for £4mThis was a good purchase for the M/AM C which gives us options in the middle of the park.
- ALDO DE NIGRIS joined MILLWALL from MONTERREY in a swap deal plus cash. The AM/F C joined for £3m plus Lazaj, again this gives options for middle of the park and upfront, which helps cover INJ / SUSP etc in those areas.
MANAGER STATEMENT
"The club have also sold youth players and purchased free-agents in cost cutting measures.
(wagebill in particular), more will leave and be replaced to help the club reduce its expenditure.
In recent seasons we have managed to stay in Div-3 and we are desperate for that to continue.
Best finishes being 4th and 6th but losing play-off's kept us in D3.
The club will be looking towards the younger player for next season, a quality young player will add to the team and reduce the wagebill which should give us a healthier bank balance"
