THE SATURDAY MATCH - ANALYSIS

Welcome to the latest SATURDAY MATCH ANALYSIS

CARLISLE 2 LIVERPOOL 2

As Predicted by TSM, Carlisle started with a 4-5-1 formation However, Liverpool manager - Dan Malone decided to alter things by starting with a 4-2-3-1 instead of a 3-5-2 predicted by TSM

L De JONG scored after 17 mins to give Carlisle an early lead. Liverpool responded eight minutes later when GOMEZ equalised. Carlisle had most of the possession and more shots at goal but it was level at the interval.

Liverpool took the lead when MOM RIBERY scored on 50 minutes. However, Carlisle responded well and MASCHERANO levelled it at 2-2 on 60 minutes.

It was a difficult away match for Liverpool and things got worse when MARCELO was red carded with seven minutes to go. Carlisle couldn't capitalise and the match ended in an entertaining 2-2 draw.

Man of the Match - RIBERY (Liverpool)

POSS:  52%/48%
SHOTS: 16/9

TSM had predicted a 2-1 win for Liverpool based on 3-5-2 formation, however, the formation change may have stopped an away win but an away point is better than a defeat.

This result kept Carlisle in 18th place and Liverpool in 19th.
